HOW CAN I OWN MY OWN HOME?
With this special program, many people qualify.
These homes are affordable to individuals and families making as little as $15,000.00 per year!
Use your Income Tax Refund and/ or Personal Savings for the minimal down payment (as low as $1,650.00). Consider that in the private market, most lending institutions require a 10% down payment (e.g. for a $60,000.00 home, you would need $6,000.00).
Perspective homebuyers must meet three (3) simple criteria to be eligible to purchase a quality, new or newly rehabilitated home through this special program
1. First Time Home Buyer: Applicants must be first-time homebuyers (talk to the Executive Director of CHOC for a definition of “first time”, even if you owned a home in the past, you may qualify for this special program).
2. Good Credit History: Applicants must have good credit (a credit check is required as part of the application process, those with poor credit may still qualify after credit counseling).3. Low or Moderate Income: Applicants must meet low or moderate income limits (50 – 80% of the median as outlined on the chart below)
